Story time: A Present for Granny
I saw a sign in the library Montserrat Roig. It announced an activity in English for children and their families, a Story time organized by the Kids&Us academy. I went on Saturday morning with my youngest son and we saw a short representation of the tale A Present for Granny. This was a show English created and developed to enjoy with your family.
My son is a little older for this kind of stories but I bought him sweet fritter (churros) as compensation. We finally had a good time.

I went yesterday to a new Speaking Corner. This time the proposal was to ask questions and answer about different photos.

Sense and Sensibility
Last week I read Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen for pre-intermediate students. Yesterday I watched the film (1995) in its original version.
I've already read Sense and Sensibility, Emma and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. My favourite is Pride and Prejudice: I love Lizzi Bennet and Mr. Darcy.

Hickory Dickory Dock
I've read Hickory Dickory Dock by Agatha Christie. I've already read so many Agatha Christie's books in Spanish, that I don't know which ones.
The title is taken from a popular English nursery rhyme, as are other of Christie's titles:
Hickory dickory dock. The mouse went up the clock.
The clock struck one. The mouse went down.
Hickory dickory dock.
Hickory dickory dock. The mouse went up the clock.
The clock struck two. The mouse went down.

A Taste of Murder by Sue rengo
I have read A Taste of Murder by Sue Arengo. It is a short story of amateur detectives. The leading character is nurse Anne Harrison, a young woman who is sent to a house to look after a famous writer, Mrs Kitty Blakemore. She believe that somebody is poisoning her and tells about it to her new nurse. But nobody believes her, they considered that she is hypochondriac until one morning they find her dead.
I guessed who the killer was when I read 2/3 of the text. 😂

Bridge of Spies
Last weekend I watched another film by Tom Hanks: Bridge of Spies (2015). The movie is an historical drama. It tells the story of lawyer James B. Donovan, who is entrusted with negotiating the release of a U.S. Air Force pilot in exchange for Rudolf Abel, a convicted Soviet KGB spy. The actors talk a lot and their dialogues are a bit difficult for me, but it's an interesting story.
