The Association of students of the Cornella's EOI has organized more activities to practice English outside the usual academic background with Stephanie and Olivia, who are our  speaking auxiliar teachers.

I went to a cooking workshop.

June's Speaking Corner

I had a good time with my classmates Rat and Raquel on the June's Speaking Corner. Our teacher proposed us to imagine that we had a son in a summer camp and we were annoying mothers. We took turns acting as a mother and as his son. If you were the mother, you had to ask questions in different verb tenses. As a child, we had to avoid answering the questions. 😬

To be or not to be... a specialist

I 've read an interesting article about what is better in design, to be a specialist or a generalist designer: Design / UX: Specialists vs Generalists — What’s Better? Here’s the truth.

I've learned some news word and concepts. The meaning of UX is User Experience, that's everything that affects a user's interaction with a product.

Then, user experience (UX) design is the process of creating products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users. This involves the design of the entire process of acquiring and integrating the product, including aspects of branding, design, usability, and function.

I have also learned a new figure of speech used in reference to a person who has many skills: Jack of all trades; although the full expression "Jack of all trades, master of none" can sometimes used with negative connotation.

Una mà de contes in English

My son joined the Super 3 Club and I received a newsletter. I followed a link that took me to Una mà de contes in English. There are many original stories, it is a very good new resource.
