English Conversation Club

I've been following the english.with.jonathan account on instagram for a while. He organizes a 30-Day Speaking Challenge every month, but I allways forget to join it within the first 5 days. 

I saw a post that  anounced a group trial session on Zoom so I can practice speaking English, thus I joined it.

September's English Conversation Meetup

Aurora's Public Library, based in Ontario, organizes every month an English Conversation Meetup. The activity was originally planned to support people living in Canada that need to improve their English skills, but other people like me can join it as well.

The topic for the first session of the new season was money. We talked about saving money for a rainy day, risk takers, stocks...

Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death

I follow a bookseller on twitter who said she was reading Agatha Raisin's first novel. She wrote she had laughted a lot and enjoyed the book, so I fancied to read it in English.

I've been reading the novel during the summer and it somehow reminded me of Agatha Christie's novels, although it was more modern and a bit humorous. I liked it enough to want to read the next book.

Pep Talk Radio: Weekly English Conversation

I joined another English conversation session organized by Pep Talk Radio. There was a kind woman called Angelina from The UK that lead the meeting. When she left the room, came a very friendly host from Sant Francisco.
