Who Sleighed Santa? A five day Virtual Murder Mystery Christmas Challenge (21st-28th December)

I booked the virtual murder challenge performed by MurderedforMoney over the holiday period. This virtual event was played between 21st - 28th December, with a break for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Santa was killed after announcing his new plans for Christmas, but things took a turn for the worse before we found the culprit, because there was one more murder.

December's Online Speaking Corner II

The second Online Speaking Corner I joined in December was on another of Joan's favourite topics: Sexual harassment. We didn't focus on the Harvey Weinstein case this time, but we talked about Michael Jackson, Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen and Roman Polanski.

December's Online Speaking Corner I

I joined two Online Speaking Corners that were organized by the EOI's Alumni Association in December. Edward Hopper's paintings were the common thread of the first one and it was the third time that I've participated in a session on this topic.

Although I love figurative painting, Edward Hopper is not among my favourite painters. I understand the topic is only a pretext for speaking, but I'm tired. We wandered and rambled too much about the girls in the paintings and I feel that my brain won't be able to make up new stories about those paintings.

Book Club: Skipping Christmas by John Grisham

I found a friend of mine a few weeks ago and she told me about an English Book Club at the Biblioteca Montserrat Roig, my town library. Although I had my term tasks at the EOI and I was a bit pushed for time, I thought it was a very interesting activity, so I borrowed the book and I tried to read it after my tasks.

The book was Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. As it was not a large book and we had a long weekend, I could finish it in time and I was able to talk to the other readers about it.

December's English Conversation Meetup

Even though the English Conversation Meetup organized by the Aurora Public Library takes place every second Wednesday of the month, the routine was changed in December because the person who leads the activity was going to be on holiday.
