Murder at the Vicarage - Virtual murder mystery challenge (22nd-27th February)

I bought on Eventbrite a ticket for the monthly virtual murder challenge performed by MurderedforMoney. The virtual mystery was called Murder at the Vicarage and was played from 22nd to  27th February.

The story took place in the vicarage of St Ignatius the Unflappable, in the imaginary village of Steeply Willows. I guessed who was the murderer after the live interrogation of the suspects, but I was unable to discover who was an accomplice in the crime.

Sunday Talk: Memory

I received an invitation from the English Club for Humans of Long Thanh in Vietnam so as to participate in their Sunday Talk. Having enjoyed the previous session, I decided to book my ticket on Eventbrite. This time we talked about memory. Many of us turned out to be very forgetful people.

Book Club: Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi

Our January session of the English Book Club was canceled because of a new wave of the pandemic. Thus, I had extra time to read Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi, but I needed every single second to finish the reading. I believe this is the most difficult book I've read in English so far.

Wordle

I discovered on Twitter a game called Wordle. I noticed in January that many people twitted images with different square patterns in green, yellow and grey together with a short texting message like "Wordle 252 3/6". It turned out to be a daily game where you must guess a five-letter word, the WORDLE. You have six tries and each guess must be a valid five-letter word. After each guess, the color of the tiles changes to show how close your guess is to the word.

I usually look up in the dictionary the meaning and pronunciation.

Supervising my son's studies

I've been supervising my son's studies. He decided to join the Dual Diploma, the official program for the international recognition of school-leaving qualifications developed by Academica.

He has been studying two subjects, English I and Life Management Skills, during the first semester. I received many emails and notifications and I helped him to understand how the program and its virtual platform worked.
